In the Heart of Bremerhaven

The perspective from which our barges let you experience Bremerhaven is absolutely unique. Only on our harbour tours you can appreciate the impressive, huge dimensions of freighters and transport ships and admire them so closely.

The round trip starts directly in the new touristy heart of Bremerhaven, on the South end of the New Harbour and just a stone’s throw from other tourist attractions like the German Emigration Center Bremerhaven or the “Klimahaus,” a climate research and exhibition centre .

Taking off from our pier, the one-hour trip takes us through the New Harbour and the so-called Kaiserhäfen (Emperor’s Harbours) I, II and III, where you can take a look at the new enlarged watergate “Kaiserschleuse” while driving by. Passing under the big swing bridge at the watergate “Nordschleuse”, we will then take you through the fruit and oil terminals , from where we enter the turning basins for the gigantic car transport ships, as well as into the North and East Harbour.

Marvelling and Picture-Taking

During your trip, you will hardly be able to stop marvelling and picture-taking: You will travel past gigantic car transport ships, fruit carriers, tow boats, floating cranes, wharfs and other vessels. From the harbour, you can see the jungle of unloader cranes not too far away as well as the huge container vessels along the five kilometres of the “Stromkaje” (the Weser’s tidal quay). The “Stromkaje” is the world’s biggest connected container terminal.

All harbours you will be travelling through are located behind the watergates connecting with the river Weser. Therefore these inner harbours guarantee a smooth and pleasant trip without heavy seas in any kind of weather.
